Vibrant color, playful shapes and lines — these are the hallmarks of my stylized illustrations. You may recognize my work from book covers, the pages of books and magazines, posters, corporate exhibits and print ads.

I work in a skylit studio in Oak Park, Illinois, birthplace of Ernest Hemingway and showcase for the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. I hold a BFA from the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts in design and illustration and have been freelancing since the early 80's.

For some of my color illustrations I work traditionally, using airbrushed acrylic with Prismacolor pencil; other pieces are created digitally. Most of the line art begins with pen and ink, then converted to a digital file.
You can see more examples of my work in Workbook,18 to 22 and 25.

In my free time, when I'm not in the garden, you'll probably find me in my clay studio carving vases, bowls and other vessels in porcelain. To see some of my 3D work, check out ceramics.

For information about my work or to discuss a project, call me at 708-383-3651 or e-mail me. And come back to this site, I add new work periodically.
